Start UDK with your custom project

I've been trying to figure this out for a while now, everything I've read tells you to replace "Map" and "LocalMap" values in DefaultEngine.ini with your custom project name.

For whatever reason, which I'm too tired to investigate, this no longer works (or at least didn't work for me).

Instead replace the following lines with your custom project name in "DefaultEditorUDK.ini" instead:


Hopefully this will help someone as I could have used the info after the latest update!

Baking Displacement & Normal Maps to AO in Maya

Great tutorial on how to bake your Ambient Occlusion maps to texture using a base model, normal map, displacement map, or all combined. Far better than the old 2 model transfer maps method!

Crysis-style wind vertex shader in UDK

Came across this great tutorial last night breaking down the inner workings of an animated vertex shader, in this case simulating wind for foliage. Thanks to 'minifloppy' for this one (niice portfolio site too!).
